Strömsund ( pronuncia svedese: [ˈstrœ̂mːsɵnd] ; Southern Sami : Straejmie ) è una località e la sede del comune di Strömsund nella contea di Jämtland , in Svezia , con 3.589 abitanti nel 2010.
La chiesa di Stroms ( Ströms kyrka ) fu inaugurata nel 1847. Il Grand Hotel risale al 1909. Il Palazzo di giustizia ( Tingshuset ) fu inaugurato nel 1911 ed è stato progettato dall'architetto Frans Bertil Wallberg (1862-1935). La stazione ferroviaria di Strömsund fu costruita nel 1913. Strömsund Bridge ( Strömsundsbron ), un ponte stradale strallato, che porta il percorso europeo E45 sullo Ströms vattudal a Strömsund, inaugurato nel 1956. L'edificio municipale di Strömsund ( Strömsunds kommunalhus ) è stato progettato dallo studio di architettura Klemming & Thelaus nel 1958.
Strömsund è noto per essere stato fotografato nel film svedese del 1974 Dunderklumpen! diretto da Per Åhlin .
